BE AN ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBER
As an advisory committee member you are able to directly contribute to student learning. This is accomplished through participation at an industry advisory summit where you will have the opportunity to review curriculum and provide input to the necessary skills needed to ensure student success in the workplace.
BE A COMMUNITY CLASSROOM SITE
Many businesses offer their facilities for worksite learning, allowing the ROP to place students within their business or organization to receive hands-on supervised career training. Instructors work with business representatives and supervise the students' work throughout the program. Students are able to master competencies in a real life career setting. After observing the students' performance, employers have offered positions with their company.
BE A RESOURCE
Help ROP courses by being a guest speaker in a classroom, donate equipment for classroom instruction, and support students by donating monetary amount for scholarships.
BE AN ROP SUPPORTER
There are many ways you can support the ROP such as conducting mock interviews, providing job shadowing opportunities, being a judge for student recognition or being business mentor.
