 Accounting
| Mike Manassero: Born and raised in So-Cal. 33 years married with two grown children, Mike enjoys golfing, tennis, and Ball Room dance. He has a B.A in Business Administration from CSUF and a business credential from Chapman Univ. Mike worked for Bank of America Fluor Corp., Rockwell International, and 18 years as a Business Teacher. For the past 10 years Mike has worked for LPVROP at Wilson High school teaching Accounting.

James Ellison: Is an internationally award winning Artist, a member of the Order of Arts Michelangelo Buonarroti, Acadamia Internazional Santarita, Torino, Italy, Professor, di Art, Academia Internazionale de "Greci Marino" Verbano Italy, International Baccalaureate Instructor. James holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Eastern Michigan University, a M.A. and M.F.A. from Northern Illinois University and a M.Div. from Wartburg Theological Seminary. Mr. Ellison taught College calligraphy and community/adult art classes for six years and was the director for Beverly Art Center School of Art Chicago, IL, for four years.  Business Office Technology
| Alicia Cervantes: Has worked for LPVROP for over 20 years. She started in the Career Center as a Career Development Facilitator at La Puente High School. For 10 years she assisted students and ROP instructors. Currently she is teaching Business Office Technologies and School Computer Literacy at Bassett High School where she also coaches the Jr. Varsity Tennis team. Alicia attended Citrus Community College and Cal State San Bernardino where she received her clear vocational teaching credential. Currently she is attending the University of La Verne where she is majoring in Sociology. Alicia believes in being prepared for obtaining a position in the workforce. In her Business Technologies class, students go through a mock interview to prepare them for a real job. Each year she places 40 to 50% of her ROP students into a local business to complete their internship.

 Child Care
|
Pat Hakim: Born in Los Angles, CA. Pat has been married for 31 years with two adult children. She is a dietician and environmental sciencist who loves watching I Love Lucy re-runs. She worked as a social worker, youth counselor, preschool teacher and director. For the past 16 years she has taught child care development at Rowland High school where she also runs the Rainbow Preschool. She holds a B.A. in Sociology /Education, Children's Center permit and Director Certificate. Pat is planning a trip to Australia to go deep sea diving in the coral reef.
Shannon Sailer: Who was born on Friday the 13th, has 14 year old twin girls Abigail & Erika, and has been married for as long as she has been working in the preschool field….17 years. She holds an Associates Degree in Child Development and for the past 12 years has worked as an instructor with LPVROP at Santana High school teaching Child Care/Preschool Development. Due to her 5 years of experience working at Domino's Pizza Shannon can make a "Mean Pizza". When asked if she had any major projects or events going on she simply stated "Life!"

 Computer Applications
|
Ella Lewis-Coker: Is a certificated project leader and has been a computer instructor for LPVROP for the past 17 years. Ella taught computer applications at Long Beach College of Business for seven years, then taught computer apps & office technology at Wilshire Computer College for six years. She is now teaching computer apps and desktop publishing at Basset High School. She holds a Bachelor's degree and a designated clear credential from California State University of Long Beach for computer applications., word processing and office technology. Her main focus has been on articulation with Mt. Sac & Rio Hondo College, implementing the multiple pathways to improve student's success in business industry and higher education.
Linda Morales: Born and raised in Southern California, Linda has been married for the past 30 years to her high school sweetheart! They have two children ( JT 28 yrs, and Michelle 22 yrs) two grandchildren ( Josephine nine and Isabella six ). Linda holds a Bachelor of Science, in Business Management from Cal Poly Pomona and is MCAS and Dreamweaver software certified. Linda is active in various extra curricular events involving coaching. Linda worked for almost 16 years in an office with computers. Five of those years she worked with El Monte USD and 11 with LPVROP. She has owned her own business since 1992 and is currently working as an instructor for LPVROP at Wilson High School teaching Computer Applications and Web design.
Nancy Villarreal: Born in Indiana, Nancy is married with one son. She has a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University Muncie, IN. For 21 years Nancy worked for Kaiser Health Plan in the accounting department, and for the past 15 years has taught Computer Software/Accounting. As an LPVROP instructor for the past five years, she has taught Computer Applications at Los Altos and Nogales High school.

 Criminal Justice
|
Charles Caceres: In high school, Charles had a goal: "To graduate from college and immediately start working in the field of criminal justice". He has an Associate Degree in Social Science from College of the Sequoias, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology Corrections. He is married to "A wonderful woman and has two wonderful daughters". Although retired now, Charles worked 40 years for the State of California Department of Corrections. "I always wanted to be a high school teacher and working for LPVROP for the past seven years at Rowland High school, is like extra frosting on the cake".
Frank Finn: He teaches Criminal Justice at Nogales and Santana High school. He has a Master of Science in Emergency Services Administration from California State University of Long Beach, a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from the University of La Verne and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Chapman University. Mr. Finn is working for the Santa Ana Police Department (Reserve OFC). He once worked for Garden Grove ROP and did four years with the United States Marine Corps .

 Electronic Publishing & Graphic Design
| Cherie Parker-Carri: she was as born and raised in Pomona, CA and has lived in the Los Angeles area all her life. She is passionate about art and animals. Her hobbies are singing & jewelry making and spending time with her husband of almost 13 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from UC Riverside and a teaching credential single subject in Art from Cal State LA. Cherie is currently enrolled in a Master of Arts program in Design Based Learning/Curriculum and Instruction at Cal Poly Pomona. In 1996 Cherie taught art and music to elementary students for four years and for the past seven years she has been an instructor for LPVROP at Nogales High School where she teaches Electronic Publishing and Graphic Design, Introduction to Art, and Art History.

 Manufacturing Technology
| Robert Ringle: He was born and raised in Detroit, MI. Robert is a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. After completing his service obligation he was employed by Carboloy, a carbide cutting tool manufacturer in Detroit. After working there for a year he decided to apply for an apprenticeship. After many interviews and testing he was accepted into the program. In 1974 he moved to California where he continued his education by earning an Associate degree in Liberal Arts from Mt. San Antonio. Robert also holds a Bachelor of Science degree for Industrial Technology and a single subject credential in industrial and technology education both from CSULA. For the past two years, Robert has been an instructor with LPVROP at Los Altos High School where he teaches Manufacturing Technology .

 Med- Core
|
Linda Howard: Is a nurse and the Health Academy Coordinator at Bassett High School. For the past 15 years, she has been teaching Medical Assistant, Physical Therapy and Med-Core for LPVROP. She graduated from Cal State University and has a P.O.S. degree and a vocational credential from University of San Diego. She enjoys working with Kaiser Internship Programs /Summer Youth, Red Cross blood drive and HOSA.
Seena Threadgill: Is a Licensed Vocational Nurse and has been in nursing for 22 years. She has worked in many areas of medicine; Long-Term Care, Acute Care, Home Care, Medical-Surgical Nursing and Emergency Medicine. Currently she is an instructor with LPVROP at Rowland High and Los Altos High school and for the past 13 years has taught Medical Core, Medical Assistant and First Responder/EMT. Seena holds an Associate Degree in nursing and will be continuing her education to obtain her Bachelor of Arts.
Diane Weeks: Has two children and two grandchildren and one cat. She has lived in the L.A. County all her life. She enjoys live music and scrapbooking. Diane has worked in health careers since graduating from high school 26 years ago. Diane holds a Master's Degree in Technical Studies from Cal State L.A. Currently she is an instructor for LPVROP at Nogales High school and for the past 18 yrs has taught Med-Core and Medical Assistant. Diane enjoys visiting her students at their internship sites and seeing former students working in the community.

 Photography
| Ed "Skelly" Miller : Was born in Denver, CO, grew up in Southern California but worked and owned businesses across the states. At the tender age of 22, his first adventure was owning a Surfboard Shop, after six months he closed up shop and later attended Santa Monica City College where he completed a two year commercial photo program and promptly got a job working as a photographer. One year later he worked for Pepsi Cola as a route salesman. In 1982, Skelly flew to Maui, Hawaii and for four years was the manager of Flower/Exporting business, he then decided to open up his own Flower/Export business and stayed in Hawaii for six more years. In 1993 he moved to the east coast and between Connecticut and Florida he owned an export/sales electronic business until 1995. He moved back to Colorado and opened an apparel business that ran for four years. Skelly later worked as a ticket sales manager for Washington D.C. venue of Women's World Cup 99'. For the past four years, Skelly has been an instructor for LPVROP at Nogales High School where he teaches photography. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Johnston College University of Redlands, and he has a teaching credential in Photo & Social Studies and a Masters in Education from Whittier College. For Skelly, there are always "ongoing great things" like being the coach for Whittier College womans championship league and advancing to NCAA playoffs!

 Sports Health:
|
Andrea Almquist: Lives in Glendora, CA and enjoys running and yoga. She loves to teach and help spread the passion for athletic training/sports medicine. She was a physical therapist tech for three years and a certified athletic trainer for Rowland Unified School District. She received her B.A. from Azusa Pacific University in Athletic Training, a minor in Psychology and a EMT certification from La Puente Valley ROP. Currently she is an ROP instructor and for the past four years and has taught Sports Health Care at Rowland High School.
Aaron Roman: Born in Bellflower CA. Aaron and his older brother were raised in Arcadia. Aaron enjoys mountain biking and doing triathlons. He graduated from Paramedic Training Institute. Has an AS degree in Fire Technology from Mt. SAC, an AS degree in Paramedical Technician from El Camino College, and in Political Science a BA from Cal Poly Pomona. Aaron has worked in the EMS field since 1995. He started as a lifeguard for Raging Waters and the county of Los Angeles. For 10 years he worked as an EMT-Basic & EMT Paramedic with the Schaefer Ambulance Company. Currently Aaron is approaching his one year anniversary as an ROP instructor, where he teaches 1st Responder/EMT & Medical Core at La Puente High School, and 1st Responder/EMT, Medical Core, & Sports Health Care at Workman High School.

 Sound Technology
| Chris Jimenez: Grew up in La Puente, CA graduated from Workman High school and graduated from CSUF earning a B.A in Ethnic Studies. Chris started working in Production of Music in 1992 by cutting demos for local bands. He joined LPVROP as an instructor at Workman High in 2007, where he teaches Audio Studio Production.  Video Production
| Tim Stimpfel: Born and raised in Southern CA, Tim has two boys; Scott 30, and Michael 23. He has been a teacher in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District since 1980. Tim holds a Masters Degree and teaching credential from Cal Poly. For the past 36 years Tim has taught many subjects such as Math, Health, Adapted P.E., Physical Education, Desktop Publishing, Web Page, Computer Applications and Video Production. For the past 15 years, Tim has been an instructor with LPVROP at Wilson High school where he teaches Video Production /Bulletin.
